What Do We Do?
EagleView Technologies is the industry leader for 3D aerial measurement services & reports. An EagleView Report is created when a client visits our website and submits address information of the structure they want measured. Aerial images of the structure are pulled, measured, and reviewed by expert technicians and a final report is generated. The finished professional report is then emailed to the client. EagleView reports come in a wide variety of options to fit any need or budget, and can be compiled for any residential or commercial structure.
Our History & Mission
Our mission is to create a non-partial industry measurement standard. Our commitment to accuracy and excellence helps contribute to job safety, measurement precision, efficiency and environmental consciousness.
EagleView began in 2006 when software engineer Chris Pershing was approached by his brother-in-law, roofing contractor Dave Carlson, who was in search of an easier way to accurately measure a roof. Chris began researching to see if simple, accurate technology was available for determining roof measurements. He discovered that software did not exist so Chris began his vision of developing a remote roof measurement service using available aerial and satellite image libraries.
Chris spent long nights and weekends in his basement where he applied his knowledge of physics and software engineering to invent the technology that is now used to obtain accurate pitch and area measurements from aerial photographs. One year after entering the basement, Chris emerged with a solution in hand and created a business that would revolutionize how roofing measurements were performed.
After further development, testing and filing a patent, EagleView was launched in February 2008 as the first remote aerial roof measurement service in history! The idea immediately caught on with roofing contractors throughout the country as they recognized the time savings, increased safety benefits and saw quickly how the EagleView reports were increasing their job closing rates.
Insurance companies and adjustors were soon embracing EagleView as they too saw the benefits to an accurate, third-party report in the event of a claim. By the time EagleView was less than a year old, it had become the industry standard in aerial roof measurements.
Our Technology
On December 13, 2011, EagleView's first U.S. patent was issued, fulfilling and validating the development and leadership of the technology invented by Chris Pershing. As CTO of EagleView, Chris continues to create new software with several additional patents pending. EagleView is committed to developing progressive technology that automates manual activities in the construction and insurance industries and several new industries.
