FAQ - Premium Reports
Premium Reports
What information is included in a premium report?
An EagleView premium report includes several standard pages. These pages include an Area
Diagram, a Length Diagram, a Pitch Diagram and a Notes Diagram.
How do you determine the pitch?
This is what makes EagleView stand out from the crowd in the Aerial and Satellite Measurement
industry. Unlike our competition, we use five (5) views in order to accurately measure
buildings in three (3) dimensions.
How do I interpret the diagrams included in the report?
EagleView’s report includes several standard pages. These pages include an Area Diagram, a Length Diagram, a Pitch Diagram and a Notes Diagram.
The following sections provide details about each diagram.
Area Diagram
The Area Diagram labels each roof facet with the area in square feet. These values are rounded to the nearest foot. The total roof area is listed at the top of the page, above the diagram, for your convenience. All roof facet areas are labeled on the diagram. For clarification, a “plus sign” (+) precedes values beginning with 6 and 9, so they appear as +6 and +9.
NOTE: The area calculation is a Net or “tear off” area. No waste or special materials are included; such as starter, hip or ridge shingles.

Length Diagram
This diagram includes color-coded lengths for each line segments over 5 feet.
Ridge lines and values are colored with Red.
Valley lines and values are colored with Blue.
Eave lines and values are colored with Black.
Rake lines and values are colored with Green.
Non-rake and non-eave interior edges appear as brown, dotted lines.
Any remaining line segments, or edges, appear in Black.
If multiple length labels overlap, the smaller of the two is omitted.
|
| Some values may have been removed for readability. Total line lengths are included above the diagram for ridges, valleys, eaves, and rakes. Again, a plus sign precedes lengths beginning with 6 and 9. |
An appendix may be included at the end of the report with a detailed version of the length diagram. This detailed diagram includes all line lengths in tenths of a foot. This is available upon request or for complex roofs. |

Pitch Diagram
The Pitch Diagram labels each roof facet with an arrow to indicate the direction of the slope and the pitch value. Again, a “plus sign” (+) precedes pitch values beginning with 6 and 9. Some pitch values for facets with less than 100 square feet may be removed for readability. However, all pitch labels may be included upon customer request.
All roof facets above a pitch of 2 are shaded with pink. All remaining roof facets are shaded in gray. Flat roof facets (of adequate size) are labeled with an “F.”

Notes Diagram
The Notes Diagram is provided for your convenience. All facets are labeled with a letter to make it easier to reference in your notes, comments, and when speaking with contractors and team members. |
