The Colors of Summer: 10 Vibrant Aerial Images We Captured This Year
Some photos you have to see to believe. That’s how we feel about these 10 rainbow-hued aerial images we captured recently. In no particular order, here is some Pictometry® imagery so vibrant you won’t believe your eyes.
If you look closely, you can see a home in the process of being built on the cerulean shores of Lake Tahoe in Nevada.
The bright blue Walter Pyramid, the 5,000-seat athletic stadium at Long Beach State University, dwarfs the neighborhoods next to it.
These shades of blue and green, on a lake in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in Alberta, Canada, have the look of a water color painting.
The tide pools on the coast of Lane County, Oregon, are home to diverse wildlife. The stark contrast between the white sands and the deep greens on the surrounding land is especially evident from above.
Cloud cover sometimes produces interesting results in our Pictometry imagery. The clouds and rainbows over Maui reveal the shadow of a plane capturing Pictometry imagery.
“No man is an island,” priest and poet John Donne once wrote, but that doesn’t stop a man from living on an island.
In this ortho shot, we spied some brightly colored roofs in this unique geometric housing development.
The American Society of Civil Engineers has referred to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California, as one of the wonders of the modern world. Construction on the bridge took over four years, and since opening on May 27, 1937, it has become perhaps one of the most photographed bridges of all time.
Perhaps only in Hawaii could you see the orange hues of this mountain range.
We’re not the only ones who love color. That pink parasail stands out against these blue waters in New York.
