Claims Journal: Insurance Industry Offers Post-Hurricane Donations and Free Tools

Hurricane Harvey - Post-event

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, the insurance industry is stepping up to help victims. The storms, which occurred just mere days apart, resulted in billion of dollars in property damage in the United States, especially throughout Texas and Florida.

Insurance carriers and insurance industry vendors across the nation have collectively donated millions of dollars to aid victims. Many Americans have seen their properties extensively damaged by the strong winds, rain, and floods that came with each hurricane, and many more have lost their homes and businesses altogether.

Claims Journal highlighted the insurance carriers and industry vendors who are giving back. They included EagleView’s Hurricane Harvey imagery website.

EagleView reports the images collected from its fleet of two dozen aircraft have been uploaded to a newly launched website that displays before-and-after images of properties throughout the affected Texas regions. The site and photos are accessible to homeowners and insurers can be found at http://harvey2017.eagleview.com. Residents can enter their address on the site and view aerial photos of their property both before and after the storm.
