April 2015 Calendar Image

The 2015 calendar showcases twelve of our team’s favorite Pictometry images out of the more than 28 million captured in 2013-2014 image season. The April image takes us to Massachusetts.

This is the finish line of the 2014 Boston Marathon. After the terrorist bombings at the 2013 race, not only did security increase, but participation as well. Nine thousand additional runners competed in 2014, watched by over a million people along the marathon route. With 36,000 participants, 2014 was the second-largest marathon in the history of the race. Pictometry^® intelligent imagery was captured the day before the race, providing law enforcement and first responders a clear view of the area in the event it might be needed.
