As the Gulf Coast braces for a major hurricane, EagleView is readying to manage the deployment of a fleet of fixed-wing aircraft and unmanned aerial systems (drones) to capture 1-inch GSD resolution aerial imagery of the affected areas. Potential Hurricane Helene is rapidly intensifying over the Gulf of Mexico as it heads toward the Florida Panhandle, where it’s forecast to make landfall on Thursday as a Category 3 hurricane. Our team is monitoring the storm and will be poised to capture post-storm imagery as soon as weather conditions permit.
EagleView’s Disaster Response Program (DRP) is dedicated to supporting post-storm recovery efforts by providing emergency management personnel, government agencies, energy providers, insurance companies, property managers, and other critical sectors with high-resolution pre- and post-event imagery. By capturing 1-inch GSD imagery, EagleView delivers 9 times more pixel data than traditional 3-inch GSD imagery and up to 70 times more pixel data than commercially available satellite imagery. This industry-leading clarity, combined with our historical image library of more than 3 billion images, provides unparalleled accuracy for critical decision making in disaster recovery efforts.
EagleView understands the urgency with which organizations must act as soon as has the storm has passed. That’s why we will make high-resolution imagery of the affected regions available to our customers as soon as we can capture it.
Our thoughts are with those in the path of the hurricane, and we will share our images as they become available to help speed recovery efforts.
