The Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Project is a large solar thermal power project located near Tonopah, Nevada.
The project includes 17,500 mirrors which reflect the sun’s energy toward the central tall tower which is filled with molten salt. This molten salt is used to produce steam which is then used to generate electricity. (Image coordinates: 38.238949, -117.363810)
