The rolling, barren hills of Colorado, just southeast of the City of Grand Junction, are bordered on all sides by three different parks and reserves, a striking green contrast to these stark slopes. This bird’s-eye view gives a striking picture of the wear and tear of time on the Earth’s surface; the softer layers have been stripped away to reveal the sediment buried underneath.
