Lexington County, South Carolina, began using Pictometry in December of 2006. Since then Pictometry has flown five different times, collecting both ortho imagery as well as oblique imagery. Though initial expectations of the different uses for the imagery were high, the County could have never imagined the various ways that it would utilize both the imagery and services provided by Pictometry. Applications range from public safety, assessment, zoning, address assignment and many more.

GIS Mapping Technician Alan Rickenbacker will recap several of the ways that Pictometry imagery has become an invaluable part of the everyday workflow here in Lexington County.
