Pictometry® Continues Educational Efforts Under the EagleView® Name
Maintaining efforts in career and educational growth, Pictometry will continue to support local colleges and universities as EagleView.
Rochester, N.Y.—Pictometry International Corp., an EagleView company, a leading provider of aerial imagery and the originator of technology for aerial oblique imagery, will continue to present itself in the education space under the name EagleView.
Since founding in 2000, Pictometry has attended career fairs at local colleges, worked with students to further their education by offering year-round co-ops, and funded research efforts at local universities . Under the EagleView name, the company will continue to put forth the same efforts, hoping to initiate interest in career fields such as GIS, engineering, marketing and others.
“Education helps to shape us as a company. Not only do we rely on new minds for creativity and fresh perspectives, but these opportunities also offer students both real-life experience and an understanding of what life after college feels like,” said Amber Lee, Human Resources Manager at EagleView. “We aim to provide guidance to these students as they enter the workforce and hope to shape their minds into thinking as professionals.”
In 2013, Pictometry merged with Bothell, Wash., Eagle View Technologies, Inc., which provides aerial roof measurements and property data reports derived from Pictometry® imagery. In April of 2017, the business officially adopted the EagleView brand name, with Pictometry imagery® remaining a core offering as the imagery product name.
EagleView continues to prioritize education by sharing knowledge, career advice and employment opportunities with qualified students and recent college graduates.
