FutureView 2015 Session: Pictometry as a Countywide Solution

Attendees will learn how Phelps County Assessor’s Office was able to transform its workflows by partnering with other departments to cost-share and integrate Pictometry imagery as a true enterprise solution across the county. After receiving the imagery, the county’s CAMA provider gave two weeks’ notice and dropped its service contract, forcing them to acquire a new system. This meant re-sketching and relisting all of the physical attributes in the new appraisal system. Pictometry was an integral part of this process and brought to light the inaccuracies in the existing data.

This year the Assessor’s Office implemented ChangeFinder™, a crucial tool for Phelps County since it has no formal permitting infrastructure outside of its two largest municipalities.
